Aankoper (Commodity)

The Commodity Buyer manages the spend, sourcing and participate on cross functional commodity teams to establish strategies and actions across a narrow range of commodities to achieve the best value for the company. Participate in activities as part of the Global Supply Chain Management Team.

• Drive commodity savings, strategy and new program bid list.
• Support supplier development to identify low cost country sources of supply.
• Soliciting quotations from suppliers to support strategies and benchmarking.
• Negotiate proposals that achieve least total cost.
• Provide sourcing recommendations to the Commodity Manager.
• Work on assigned activities to improve commodity BOS metrics related to quality, delivery, service and cost.
• Prepare RFQ’s and execute market tests with alternate suppliers to provide improved competitiveness.
• Work on supplier VA/VE ideas and development activity in alignment with our companies requirements.
• Work in compliance with Global Purchasing policies and procedures.
• Participate in supplier negotiations.
• Issue and maintain purchase orders to local and global supply base as authorized by the Commodity Manager.

• Fluent in English.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in Supply Chain Management or related work environment.
