As part of the Sputter Targets R&D team you will be involved in the design, testing and development of new target materials. Among others tasks, your function will include assisting operators on the floor, the design of experiments, documentation, R&D database maintenance, new products costing, etc. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly global and multidisciplinary environment to contribute to the development of new products with high market impact.

Wat verwachten wij van jou? technische job Target Development Engineer

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science with specialization in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy or similar. A Master’s degree is considered an asset.
You have a strong background in materials science and mechanics, preferably with knowledge and/or proven working experience in one of the following fields: thermal spray, PVD/CVD processes, plasma physics or coatings.
You are organized and thorough, and can deliver good results while successfully meeting deadlines.
You are a hands-on, problem-solving person with both a creative and analytical mindset.
You are a team player and have good communicative skills.

Our client offers complete solutions for the application of high-quality coatings for the glass, photovoltaic, display and metal sectors. At the site in Deinze specific installations and consumables are made for PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) applications.
