Main purpose of the job:

Manages the Project Leaders (Manufacturing)
Ensures the monitoring/management of production capacity
Manages Manufacturing Engineering Tasks for programs in his/her region
Coordinates regional capex management
Manages special projects
Interfacing internal with Development Centers, production plant, Program Management, Purchasing, Controlling and external with Suppliers and Customers

Main tasks:

Establishes level of resources to cope with current and future ME programs and special projects
Manages regional capex
Industrializes programs according to local production system rules and maintains environmental/health and safety (EHS) commitments
Manages skills and competencies of the ME team
Defines, monitors and improves all ME tasks
Identifies and controls opex budget for new product launches / programs (installation, trials and start-up costs)
In coordination with the Head of Operations of the region, manage directly special projects
Assures delivery and validation of the ME program tasks
Cooperates with the Manufacturing Systems Manager for monitoring of capacity and follow-up of the investments
Benchmarks best practices internally and externally
Participates in innovation and technology development
Participates in validation of RFQ assumptions

Required experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in Automotive, production & manufacturing engineering
Project management skills and leadership skills
Experience in new product introduction / launching activities

Required qualifications:

LEAN manufacturing and Continuous Improvement oriented
Financial understanding
Good communication skills, team player and ability to work in functional networks
International mindset
Fluent in English
