Logistic Engineer

The purpose of the Logistics Process Engineer position is to constantly challenge, analyse and optimize existing processes as well as to prepare, drive and implement brand new breakthrough systems and processes, across the different functions, throughout the distribution department. The processes will mostly be the result of projects defined with the Six Sigma methodology and tools on cost saving, value stream mapping, lean, process improvement and other. These projects can be extended to areas linked to the Distribution operations.

Responsibilities:

• Leads the project team, follows up progress of projects.
• Develops systems and procedures further to project results
• Trains and coaches team members as yellow or green belts
• Drives continuous improvement

• You have a relevant Engineering degree.
• You have background in logistics.
• PC knowledge (MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, …).
• Multiple language skills: Dutch and English. Other languages are an asset.
• Know the business sufficiently in order to understand and be aware of the interactions of the different business area’s.
• You have an understanding of diversity and cultural differences.
• Willingness to learn.
• You easily build and maintain good relationships, you are a good team player.
• Puts top priority on getting results, looking beyond symptoms to identify root causes of problems.
