Acts as a specialist or experienced focal point w.r.t. automation and mechatronics in manufacturing
Supports the team w.r.t. the manufacturing processes within its responsibility
Performs the development and implementation of automation techniques within manufacturing processes, i.e. robots/cobots, automated production lines and toolings, and guarantees the quality-related requirements of these processes to maintain proper product functionality
Continuously evaluates and optimises the process methodology & efficiency to reduce the operational cost
Actively supports the operational departments to assure on time in full delivery to our customers
Introduces, controls (data driven, supported by MSA-analysis) and maintains process monitoring to improve (cost, time, quality) of the manufacturing processes
Supports the choice of the new techniques and processes to deliver optimal performance (e.g. via automation)
Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations which requires coordination with other departments
Performs process related risk analyses and looks actively for risk mitigation opportunities
Reviews, evaluates and implements engineering changes and specification requirements
Is accountable for up to date internal instructions and responsible for internal procedures
Optimises the product flow by introducing lean principles

MSc Engineering (Electro-mechanics, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Aviation/Space, …)
Min. 5 years relevant experience in automation for manufacturing processes/production, engineering, manufacturing engineering or quality management
Knowledge of automation and mechatronics techniques for manufacturing and production/assembly processes
Quality and result oriented people manager with pro-active attitude and strong communication skills
Basics of CATIA, C/C++, Python, ERP and PLC programming
Experience with quality norms APQP/PPAP
Basic knowledge on composites components manufacturing is a plus
A certification in Lean Six Sigma is a plus
Fluent communicator in English
Knowledge of Dutch or French is nice to have
